I actually found Chewy.com through Google while trying to find the cat food my Vet prescribed for one of our cat's that has Urinary issues. Being a special type of food, I thought it would be hard to find & based off what my Vet was charging for the food through them, super expensive! Chewy popped up right away once I searched for the food & after comparing prices elsewhere, I went on a little faith knowing nothing about the company & decided to place my order. I wasn't aware of it at the time, but because the cat food is made special for Urinary issues, I needed a prescription. Chewy made it so easy! They asked for my Vet's info & said that they'd take care of getting the script! Really?! Wow! And it gets eve better!
Not only does Chewy offer free shipping on all orders over $50, but they also offer $10 off your first order placed & the option to schedule automatic re-orders so you never have to worry about running out of food or forgetting to place another order! After ordering, my shipment came super fast. I expected a week or even more of waiting for the food to come in, but to my surprise it took 2 or 3 days! We immediately switched over our old cat's food to the new special food, & it was a hit. The cat with the medical concerns is very picky about food & yet he loved it! What a relief because this food was going to help safe his life!
Fast forward to my first automatic re-order. I had to adjust the reorder & make it 2 weeks earlier than I had it set for because we overestimated how long the bag would last. Well, the order I placed to ship May 1st came in quickly like the first time. Then 2 days later, I got another order (surprisingly) that was shipped on May 3rd! I called customer service (which is 24 hours) & spoke with Erin. I told her there was some mistake with the re-ordering process & that I'd like to have it fixed. She was extremely courteous & told me the refund for the 2nd bag would be back on my card in 3-5 days. THEN, she said something I've NEVER heard from ANY company ever when dealing with a return... She said to please take that 2nd bag & donate it to a local animal shelter! I expected them to send me a shipping label to send the bag back to them so they could put it back in inventory. I was blown away & I'm pretty sure Erin could tell over the phone! We will without a doubt be taking the bag (a large one at that) to a local shelter & making sure they know it came from Chewy!
Erin melted my heart today when she told me what to do with my return. Not only does Chewy have the best prices, best shipping & the best customer service... they have the best hearts! Just when you think there are no more businesses that care about anything but top-dollar, Chewy shows me that truly customer oriented, respectful, kind American-made businesses still do exist! I've never written a review like this, but felt very compelled to do so after my rare experience. Chewy has me for a lifelong customer & I will be sure to spread their name. Thanks Chewy!!!!
I NEVER write reviews for company websites- good or bad, I just generally don't feel the need to share... but I was blown away by their outstanding customer service and policies of chewy.com. I bought two cases of dog food that my dog just did not enjoy- I called customer service to see if I could return the unopened and unused cases, and the woman that I spoke to was happy to issue a refund after some general feedback about the product. I expected to have to go through the regular returns process, but customer service asked me to instead donate the cases that I would have returned to my local shelter. Based on some of the reviews that I have read here, this seems to be something they do often, which is just amazing. It really shows that they care about pets and the people who care about their pets! I like to buy my dog quality canned dog food and the cost of the returned items would have been over $60... a cost that this company could have easily recouped the majority of had they just had me return the products. Instead they opted to donate this cost to the animal shelter- I can only imagine how much this company donates on an annual basis based on this policy alone. Thank you so much chewy.com- you have made me a lifelong customer because of your truly outstanding customer service!
The other perks of this company are incredibly fast shipping and very competitive pricing- for the products that my dog likes, chewy offers the best rates.

I just received my first order from Chewy.com, i ordered frontline flea and tick and 2 small treats for my dogs.
1. The prices were amazing, saved a bunch vs buying at my local pet store plus they gave free shipping because my order was greater than $49 another plus.
2. The package came in 2 days! that was amazing
I did run into a problem, two of my applicators in my Frontline were leaking in the package, I immediately called the company and explained my issue and without hesitation, without the inconvenience of sending something back and certainly without any blaming the shipping company Chewy.com apologized and re-sent my entire order AT NO COST TO ME. They stated i will have it by Tuesday and there is no doubt it will be on door step when i get home.
It doesn't matter if you have good prices if your customer service isn't good.

I have ordered from most of the major pet supply websites, and they pale in comparison to Chewy.com. I live about a thousand miles from where they ship and I consistently get my order within 3 days. It takes other places that long to get it out of their warehouse, but Chewy.com typically gets afternoon orders shipped the same day. Their everyday prices and selection can't be beat and their customer service is every bit as good. Once I had ordered a large bag that was due to be back in stock later in the week, and they went ahead and shipped two smaller bags immediately instead. When I order dog biscuits, they take the time to stuff the box with paper to minimize the damage, while other places just throw them in the box with everything else and don't seem to care about how they hold up in transit. Chewy.com is an exceptional pet supply retailer, I have nothing but good things to say about them.
I have been ordering my dogs' food from Mr. Chewy for a year and four months, and I have nothing but praise for this company! The orders are on time, and are always accurate. My dog recognizes the Fed Ex truck now, and I really believe its the Dog on the trucks side that she recognizes! She will bark at any other Fed Ex truck or anyone who comes down our driveway but not Mr. Chewys! Smart dog you say? Oh Absolutely! lol! I love my dog and Mr. Chewy has only the best dog and cat foods! They are nutritious and must be tasty because Maya licks her bowl clean every time!
Thier Customer Service is wonderful! I made a mistake once on my order and they not only took care of it, but gave me free shipping! The folks answering the phone are always friendly and very knowledgable of all thier products! Since I found this site I have always enjoyed the great prices, super fast shipping and high quality of their products. Today I received an order that had a ripped bag of dry cat food inside which I called to have a return authorization and replacement sent to me. I wasn't worried about the process of getting the item replaced but was shocked (in a good way) of how fast they took care of my problem. It literally took 1 minute to get the replacement setup and was also told to donate the ripped bag to my local shelter if it looked fresh and wasn't out of date. These people really do care about our little furry friends and I will continue to be a loyal customer.

First and foremost, this company puts pets first. They have great products, great brands and great prices. Second, after I made a mistake on an order, they generously refunded me my full amount even though it was my fault.
Additionally, the website is beautifully built with amazing account management tools. Autoship is easy to use and allows for one time additions, which is a great way to try new products.
I will shop with this company exclusively going forward.
I am extremely happy with Chewy!! Deliveries are always correct and on time. I made the mistake of ordering too much once and they emailed me to verify my order. Most companies would have sent the order thru and then made it your responsibility for the return and credit. Outstanding customer service. I have 2 German Shepherds and I love having the food delivered to my door. Fed Ex guy may not agree:)
Truly the best place to order prescription pet food with convenience! Free shipping over $49 and the price is same as my doctor but the nice big bag gets delivered right to my doorstep :) I have the automatic shipment set up, I do wish I could choose more than 14 weeks but it's not that big of a deal because you can just delay shipment to what ever date you want very easily. I have tried almost all the food companies. I haven't had problems with any of them. I got a gift card in my dog's Bark Box for $10 off. I had never even heard of them before. I found my dogs' normal food was a few dollars cheaper and the cats' litter was reasonable so I thought I'd give them a try. The order came really fast! They sent a hand written thank you note. Not that only a note would sway me, it just shows that they care about customer service. They have a really nice selection of only quality products. I like how they now list country of origin on them. It was the only one place I could find all the products I use for my pets at reasonable prices. With four cats and two dogs, the minimum order is never a problem.
It was late afternoon last Sunday when I realized we were nearing the last scoops of Acana Pacifica Kibble (we receive autoship of Acana cans from Chewy's - thats been great). Anyway, the dogs were looking at me like "you forgot again?". So, I placed the order online with Chewys and literally within a few minutes, had an email advising my order was shipping. Amazing service. Even better when it arrived on Monday! Chewys has done a great job for us - autoship and those need it right away orders. Yeah Chewys.
So my kitten's kibble was running low so I decided I should probably order another bag soon. Petco didn't have the large size of Nature's Variety Instinct, Chicken Formula, and you pay more for less with the smaller bag. Some how I came across Chewy.com. I am very careful when ordering things from new website, because some of them are fraud, and others are more of a pain to deal with. What can I say about Chewy? I ordered two days ago, and it arrived this morning at my front door. Items are in great shape, and all of them have expiration dates in 2014/2015. Will be purchasing from them again, and recommending them to my pet friends.
I have 5 cats, 2 dogs and and a chinchilla. Though they don't have chinchilla products, they have just about any cat and dog product you'd ever want! The only thing they don't have that I need is the Purina brand prescription diet that one of my cats needs. They have THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever come across online! On a scale of 1-10, I would give this company a 100!! The shipping is lightening FAST!!
I have never received better customer service from an online retailer. I'm not just talking about websites for pet stuff, I'm mean ANYTHING.
After one of my first orders, a representative called literally 5 minutes after I submitted my order to double-check that I hadn't messed up my shipping address because it was on the other side of the country from my billing address. This might not seem like too big of a deal for some people who haven't had problems with putting in an incorrect or old address on a site where prior addresses are stored but I have experienced this and it was an absolute headache to correct with another site.
On multiple occasions, representatives have sent handwritten cards to say thank you, wish me a happy holidays, etc. This is something that I've never experienced from any other online retailer and it created a sense of a personal relationship between them and me and not just another cold, automatic transaction.
Honestly, I have never submitted a written review for a website before. This is how blown away by the wonderful customer service, great prices, and quality products that Chewy.com provides.
Bottom Line: What are you doing ordering your dog/pet stuff from anyone else?
Wow--I was really impressed by how they handled this situation. Not only did I call at 12:30am and someone was there to answer the phone, but they replaced all the items that were stolen from the box while it was downstairs in my building, free of charge. I was very thankful and will definitely shop here again.
I've been shocked at how great this company is! Not only is their website easy to use, free shipping to my door with my dog food (over like $45 or something which is the price of my dog food plus one treat for the pups -- which is still way cheaper than the same food at the store, where I have to drive to, park, carry the heavy bag, go through the hassle, etc.) AND they just sent us a holiday card which was handwritten thanking us for our patronage and wishing our family, including pets, a great holiday.
What company sends you hand-written holiday cards? This one. They definitely go above and beyond to insure happy customers!
Really like the poop bags. Solid enough to never rip, yet eco-friendly. The little dispenser hooks right to the leash and even has a hook to hold used bags till you get to a trash bin, so you're not holding onto a dangling bag of poop :)
We ordered the "lightly scented" variety. The only thing we will change in future ordering, since our noses are hyper sensitive even to "lightly scented".
my order arrived right away, the products were reasonably priced. however, they spelled my name wrong and sent a thank you card to the shipping address rather than myself, the person who ordered, which isn't too smart.
My little dog loves these Chewys, when I give one to her, she start jumping up and down. She loves her Chewys! She looks forward to them every night. I will be ordering them again.
I ordered one of the SafteyGlo collars and it shipped and arrived super fast. I opened it and put it on our dog and first thing i noticed is how big these collars seem to run.
I loved the look of the collar and it did great for about a week then it needed charged by the USB since it must not have gotten enough sunlight. The battery part snaps on and off by two snaps. It came off great and charged super fast but ever since putting it back on it seems to not hold a charge and doesn't want to stay snapped in place.
I called Chewy.com and they were so nice and said they were not sure what was going on with it and that they would send me another one out right away and that I could keep the other collar or donate it to a local shelter. Which I have to say that I LOVE that this company is pushing the idea of donation of unwanted/old collars to shelters, not many companies think like this.
I also loved the great customer service I received. I will be recommending Chewy.com to all the animal lovers I know and will be a life long customer.
P.S. I would recommend only placing this collar on the dog when needed instead of leaving it on all the time, that may help keep the battery from having issues and will help keep it clean since you can't wash these.
The prices are fantastic and with no shipping costs it was definitely a win win situation. Everything is delivered right to my door, which when you are buying a 30 pound bag of dog food, dog toys and a big box of biscuits is a really good thing!!
Chewy's customer service and return policy is unbelievable. When our vet prescribed a new, special diet for our golden retriever, I needed to return an unopened 25-lb bag of dog food that I had ordered from Chewy.com. I called the company for return authorization, and I was told to donate the entire bag to a local animal shelter. Chewy then fully refunded my credit card. I cannot think of a better outcome. Nicely done, Chewy.com!

My experience with Chewy was very satisfactory. Dog food and Greenies arrived in good time, well-packaged, and the price was reasonable. Having canned food delivered sure beats lugging it home - heavy, and I'm too old to be doing that! Despite the accessibility and availability of a horde of pet supply stores in my area, Chewy's wins my vote for reliable and easy delivery of pet food.
I had a gift card from my BarkBox which is what introduced me to Chewy. I'm very happy with everything I bought and my package came quickly! My dog loves everything I got and the toy that was included in her box originally!

I placed an order for two 28 lb. bags of Holistic Select dog food and received it two days later. The packages arrived in excellent condition, neatly packed in sturdy cardboard boxes. The prices were better than anything I could find locally and you can't beat the convenience of having it delivered right to your front door.
