AWFULL RUBBISH COMPANY THEY ARE THE MOST DISGUSTING COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD I REALLY THINK THEY SHOULD BE STRUCK OFF THEY ARE ALWAYS BREAKING DOWN AND AL THE STAFF ARE FORIEGN AND IN A CALL CENTRE NO HELP AND POOR SERVICE IF U R UNLUCKY TO BE GIVEN A CALL USEAGE THEY GIVE U LIKE £55 TO START WHICH IS NOTHING FOR YOUR PHONE TV AND BROADBAND THEN THEY CUT U OFF WHEN U HAVE REACHED THE CALL USEAGE WITH NO WARNING DEMANDING A PAYMENT IN ADVANCE I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE THEY R THE WORST COMPANY YOU CAN GO WITH
I need to leave them as Im leaving the country (my job is being relocated). So even though it's clear that Im not going to another provider and can actually get a letter from my company to confirm this they arent interested and want 3 times the amount that i owe to disconnect. JOKE!!! They said that i can move my contract to another friend but why should i? Dont do it! They're a joke!! Helpful if you're with them. Dont give a stuff if you have a valid reason for leaving
Well, where do we start - speaking to someone in the UK would be a good start! Even better someone who actually speaks ENGLISH and understands ENGLISH and ENGLISH is their FIRST language! 6 days, numerous telephone calls jujst to get one AOL braodband line moved to a new location. I am absoltuely fuming!! Not sure if we have achieved what we wanted (we'll find out March 24th when we plug in at the new location) and if we don't I am sure it will take another weeks worth of telephone calls and screaming down the phone to get anyone to listen! Would love to have the job these people have - get paid even for doing NOTHING. Managers of AOL and TalkTalk hear this and hear it well - I would pay MORE just to be able to have a call centre in the UK!! (Great and I HAD to click on one star to get this review posted - guess they didn't want to put up the option of negative stars!!)
I have always had a good broadband speed but about a week ago an engineer was working on the lines on the telegraph poll outside my house. As I live by the seafront we can expect bad winds so I thought there must have been problems with other peoples connections. But straight after he got down from the poll my internet speed went terrible and I really don't use the internet for much but it was like having the old dial up speed! nightmare! So I thought "oh god the dreaded call to TalkTalk!" but I found that on there website I could speak to an adviser through a chat option, they were all busy when I first looked but it was better than sitting on the phone listening to awful hold music It was about 9pm and I was surprised to be chatting to a TalkTalk advisor within minuets, and they were so quick to respond to all of my questions. They did a line check whilst I was chatting with them (it was a lot like texting or mailing) and they said I would have to go offline as they would shut down my internet for 15mins and then speak to another advisor when my internet came back on. True to their word my net came back on within 15 min's and I got straight through to a new advisor who had my notes up ready to tell me what was wrong, there was a problem with the phone line but they had to run more tests and contact Openreach. I had a few text messages through with Ref numbers and saying they would contact me again shortly but I didn't hear back that night. The next morning about 8am I had a text saying I would have an engineer call me and within half an hour he was on the phone seeing if I was free to have a look (fortunately I was) he was round in 15mins, very friendly straight away went up the telegraph poll and admitted it was their fault and now my internet speed is quicker than ever. I don't have a bad word to say about TalkTalk they were polite, super quick to respond, my internet is now very fast and I pay a really good price. Although I know that other people have unfortunately not had such an easy time with their problems with TalkTalk and it is a nightmare when that happens (im currently going though it with Sky) im really happy I chose them TalkTalk to buy my broadband from I would give 5stars! :)
Unfortunately, I could not post this review without giving them 1 star. Seemed like they were offering a good deal. Paid for my line rental up front. For some reason (I'll probably never find out in this lifetime), they could not port my existing number across so they cancelled the TV engineer's visit. All I got was a text saying the visit had been cancelled, no explanation. Then I had to do the thing that I dreaded most, call their customer services several times, probably about 20. Their customer service advisors are amazingly rude. As far as I'm concerned they have reached rock bottom & have started to dig. They must set themselves VERY low standards & consistently fail to achieve them. The upshot of this round of them TALK TALKing at me was that I would have to cancel the contract & set up a new one. They sent out a welcome pack that had the wrong price breakdown so guess what? I had to phone customer services again. Spoke to 2 people who hung up on me. Spoke to a third person (in India, I'm guessing) & then got put through to her supervisor in the Phillipines. Someone in India asking you to hold for 2 minutes equates to 20 UK minutes. The last phone call was over an hour & I've now been promised a refund for the line rental that I paid in advance. To tell you the truth, the whole experience has stressed me out beyond imagination, they literally have reduced me to tears. All I wanted to do was buy something off them, I was a potential customer & they have treated me insanely badly. Who knows what they treat their customers like, once you are lcked into a contract. STAY AWAY & go with a reputable provider who has UK based call centres.
I just terminated my 12 month broadband contact with talk talk. I experienced slow broadband that often dropped off. Some of the worst customer service out there. I spend huge amounts of time on hold only to be passed from department to department and read to from a script. AVOID THIS COMPANY
long story short, recent moved houses and decided to get thier service! its been 2 months now and all we have got it thier boxes and nothing else... engineer is worthless, customer service is helpless over all an incompetent company.
Used website to place order, arrange engineer and set up payment. Informed them nothing had arrived before engineers visit, automated reply acknowledged my question. Engineer failed to turn up so phoned them to find out what was going on. Informed the order had been canceled (first I heard about it) I asked for compensation due to waiting in for engineer to be told that compensation was only available for existing orders would I like to be put through to contracts department. Taken aback I said yes to see what was going on, I got disconnected while holding. Received a customer satisfaction survey asking what I thought of my contact with talk talk. Very brave of them Might have good prices but cheaper just to avoid them
customer service is a joke and you get passed from dept to dept and spoken to like your an idiot. They throw you in free youview box with your phone and broardband contract and tell you there will be now monthly cost until you want to leave. then they spring on the contract issues of the tv box. avoid and save yourself hassle and time and your sanity
Words cant describe how poor talktalk are. They are the worst internet provider that i have ever had. Shockingly crap. Cant wait to terminate my contract. Usless rubbish customer service. I hope they get nuked personally and then the world would be a betterplace. You are not even worth 1 star.
OK been with them for what 2/3 months they cut/capped my master socket to "fit and extension" and never put it down on the notes!!!! I got told id be getting a min of 7/8mps but I'm getting between 2/3mps I have rang up over 100 times they run a line check and get told its all fine I then pass on the message I am leaving them and guess what they send out an "engineer" who states they should not of touched my landline so my contract is invalid I then get a bill for **drum roll please** £840 PLUS £15.50 for every month I have left They swiftly got told where to shove there bill and that they could take me to court for the money knowing full well my contract was/is invalid they said there manager would ring me yet again a person who stuck to a script and didn't speak proper English
Talktalk is a bit like a really bad neighbourhood, the best thing about it is leaving. Any problems and their website is like groundhog day. If you try and send them an email of complaint you end up in a vicious circle of dispair. If you sign up to this company then more full you. DON'T BE tempted by their TV box. You would be more advised to take £32 each month and give it to a chugger. At least you wont be tied in for 18 months!
